Description
This is a Vintage Wineguard, made in the USA, Distribution Amplifier Booster for an Outdoor VHF / UHF Television Antenna to multiple outlets. This is designed to increase the signal and push it through up to 2 TV Tuners, TIVO's, etc This amplifier/booster works for the Free-From-Air Television signals including the digital or Analog form. This amplifier has a 7dB increase on all of the VHF /UHF frequencies. It was manufactured in the 80's and is still new in the box, just old inventory. It has a 300Ω input from the antenna and (2)- 300Ω outputs. Plugs into a standard 2 prong AC Wall Outlet. If you are suffering from a in and out digital FM signal this could help solve the reception problem. This unit works best if installed using the shortest amount of antenna lead wire and allowing the booster push the signal the remaining distance to the TV or TIVO. This unit will work fine with today's Free from Air digital Television Broadcast signal. If you have an outdoor antenna and can run 300 ohm twin lead wire (keeping it away from metal by 1/2' or so but 6" away from metal ducts) you will be shocked by the amount of signal captured by your antenna. Coax wire has great advantages of shielding the signal but with a lot of signal loss. Sometime the old school was better, especially in rural area This unit has a FM trap so it will not pass FM reception.Wineguard BC-8330 VHF/UHF Booster Distribution Amplifier (2) 300 Ohm Outputs
