    Description

    Brass Candlestick
This listing is for one (1) vintage brass candlestick - among several I received as wedding presents in 1984.  My hometown had one really nice gift shop where you could register for china, crystal, etc.   It carried things considered "high end" for the time period, and was the only place locally to buy a really nice wedding gift.  This was purchased new from that shop and I've had it since then.
There was no sticker left on the bottom, but because it came from the same small store at the same time most of the others were bought, I believe it's also Carnat, made in India
Even though they were displayed in our home I didn't realize until photographing that some of these candlesticks are made of more than one piece that screw together.  Most separate into two sections, but this one has three (3) pieces.  You can see how new the threaded ends look because they've been protected all these years.
If the patina looks different in some photos it's because I tried with and without flash to get the most accurate results.  The main photos will all be ambient light, but to get some details to show up (like the label underneath this one) I had to use the flash.
    Size:  Approximately 9-1/2" tall
I have a large collection of brass and pewter items, most of which were packed up during a move and have been stored for over 20 years.  All belonged to either my mother or me.
Working on other listings for lots of
    candlesticks
    ,
    unicorns
, bookends, etc.  Got lots of candlesticks as wedding presents in 1984; collected unicorns when I was in college in the late 70's-early 80's.
I wasn't sure how to best clean brass, so I haven't tried except to wipe them off with a soft rag.  Many have signs of typical aging/tarnish and would definitely benefit from a good cleaning.  If I see any actual defects or damage beyond that, I'll note them.
Will ship  free to any location in the U.S.A.   Shipments to any location outside the U.S.A. will have charges added.
