Vintage 1970s Breyer G1 Stablemate Chestnut Draft Horse Semi-Gloss #9176

Description

This is the original first generation (G1) Breyer Stablemate Draft Horse from a mold originally designed by Maureen Love for Hagen-Renaker potteries.  He was made from 1976 to 1981 in various shades of chestnut, both matte and semigloss, and evidently with variations in stockings as well.
This model is semigloss and has a high white rear stocking and just a hint of a left rear sock.  These photos were taken in natural outdoor sunlight to reveal the best detail.  He has great detail, minimal rubs, and his ear tips are a little rough but both present.  Not a show horse, but he would make a great addition to your vintage collection.
