VALERIAN I -- CILICIA, ANAZARBUS (253 AD) Roman Coin FISHERMAN -- 5 KNOWN.
AD 253. c.30mm, 16.3g, Radiate bust of Valerian right / Fisherman seated on rock, holding wheeled basket scoop.
Ziegler 839.  Good VF, slightly grainy as usual for this region, you grade pics.  Only 5 specimens known to Ziegler.  Unusual and spirited depiction of ancient pisciculture.  Centering is often off from this region.  This superb example is well-struck and fully centered on both sides.  Remarkably for this series, everything is readable.  Rarely available.
