    Germanicus was a military commander and nephew of Emperor Tiberius. He took 1/3 of the Roman army and led the fight against the German tribes that had defeated Rome in 9AD. His victory led to his promotion to emperor of the Eastern Provinces. This huge, 30mm bronze features an obverse of Germanicus in quadriga and reverse of him standing left and holding a sceptre.
