    Medallion commemorating the Reception Committee for Admiral George Dewey in Washington

    , October 1899.  38mm, Bronze with Gilt surface, originally mounted on a ribbon with bar, typical clasp attachment of the period.  Uncirculated, some minor marks and signs of contact on higher points.  The most recent sale of a similar copy brought an astonishing 9, whi
    ch is obviously a bit silly - I think my asking price more reasonable.
