    Obverse
    : Marines raising the U.S. flag on Iwo Jima.
    Reverse
    : Sword and victor's palm surrounded by ring of stars; "For Conquer We Must" taken, as is the obverse legend, from verse of the "Star Spangled Banner".  Struck by the Medallic Art Company, New York.
    Condition
    : Some deposit residue, appears to have been polished; VERY FINE.
