Description
This coin is clearly from Nicaea Bithynia, most likely Severus Alexander though reverse style was used in other reigns, this one is the most similar and to SNG Cop 519, though the eagle is seems to be on an altar, so I didn't find the exact attribution. Head and details on the obverse are pretty unclear, though parts of a few letters of the legend are almost discernable. The reverse is off-center and shows the KIAE ofNI-KAIE-ΩN
and depicts one of the two standards (other off the flan) and an eagle on an altar?. Coin seems to have a porous surface. See photos.
