    The Flavian Dynasty 69-96 AD included the reign of 3 Roman emperors: Vespasian, Titus and Domitian.
    Towards the end of 69 AD (called the Year of the Four Emperors) Vitellius was challenged by the legions of the eastern provinces who declared their commander, Vespasian the new emperor, and by winning the 2

    Battle of Bedriacum, dethroned Vitellius, thus beginning the new dynasty.
    The dynasty was scarred by multiple natural disasters including the eruption of Vesuvius, a widespread fire in Rome and the plague, which was accompanied by the destruction of Jerusalem. Domitian tried to turn the course by initiating cultural and economic reforms before he was assassinated in 96 AD thus ending the dynasty.
