Roman Province Moesia Marcianopolis AE Gov Aurelius Gallus w/ Dionysos 28mm

Hello and welcome
This is an AE coin from the Roman province of Moesia Inferior, Marcianopolis. Minted during the reign of Caracalla (198-217 AD) and under the govenor Aurelius Gallus (ca 202-205 AD). The coin feature a draped bust looking right on the obverse, and on the reverse is a naked Dionysos holding a thyrsos and pouring wine. A good coin in rather good condition, especially the reverse which have a good full and clear legend as well as a great subject matter. The coin is 28 mm in diameter and weighs about 12,7 gram. Reference: Varbanov 916 (or variant hereof).
