    Description

I have a 1956 Polish medal for the Polish National Olympic Committee.  The medal is gilted bronze, it is 3 1/8 inches in diameter and in AU condition but it has several spots.  (see photos)  One side shows the committee symbol that is a torch with the Olympic rings and the polish eagle at the top.  The other side  at the rim reads POLSKI KOMITET - OKIMPIJSKI.  In the center it reads CORTINA - d'AMPEZZO - MELBOURNE - 1956.  Cortina d'Ampezzo is in Northern Italy where some of the winter Olympics were held.  Melbourne, Australia held the summer Olympics.  The medal comes in original carboard case with the Olympic rings on top and it has some problems and would probably be a 5 on a 10 scale.  Please see my EBAY STORE at TE COLLECTABLES.  (17,513)
