Description
NGC graded, serialized and encapsulated Roman Provincial bronze AE17 coinfrom Pergamum (Pergamon) in Mysia.
Pergamum was a famous Greek city-state assimilated by the Romans that was
famed for its temples, such as the famed Pergamum Altar, the temple of Zeus
and its library, the second largest in the Greek world.
This particular coin was minted while under Roman control, between the 1st and
2nd centuries AD.
The Obverse depicts the bust of Roma
The Reverse shows a personification of the Roman Senate.
It was graded by the NGC as “CHOICE VERY FINE” with a 4/5 for Strike and a 3/5 for Surface.
Upgraded to the "Scratch Resistant" Capsule.
