NGC Bronze Prutah HEROD AGRIPPA, Judaea, Under Claudius, 37 - 44 AD, "Choice VF"

Description

NGC graded, serialized and encapsulated bronze Jewish Prutah coin,
of King Agrippa I,  who reigned over Judaea from 37 to 44 AD under Roman
Emperors Caligula and Claudius. This coin specifically was minted
in 41 and 42 AD under Claudius.
Obverse shows the familiar fringed canopy motif.
Reverse shows the 3 upright ears of Barley.
Herod Agrippa was a puppet king under Rome. Grandson of Herod The Great,
Agrippa was the last royal ruler of Judaea. He is the "Herod" mentioned in the
Biblical Acts chapter 12, which also records like Josephus, his gruesome death.
Authenticated by the NGC, it was given the grade "

FINE
" with a
3/5 for Strike
and a
3/5 for Surface
