KeyTrak 240 Key System - DOS

Stand-alone - No IT needed to install. This system does not require an Internet connection or tie into your network.
I get these systems in on trade quite a bit and I know how to recondition them and restore them to their original condition. They are about a third the cost of a new system and should last five years or more if taken care of. I warranty these systems for 6 months. I have dozens of dealerships throughout the nation that have purchased these systems and continue to use them and I will supply you references if you wish.
They are simple to use. If you request a stock number and if it is out to someone, you will know instantly who has the key. If it is in the drawer, the drawer opens and it tells you where it is located. It locates the key just like a game of Battleship (for example: D-13 means it is located in row D, column 13). You will always know who has the key, who had the key, when they took it out and when they returned it.
Included with the system is a power supply (special power cord) for the drawer and cables for the drawer to the computer. This is a very basic system but it works very well. I will also supply documentation for its use.
There are only two things you will need to supply as follows:

Uninterruptible
Power Supply (UPS) - (Battery Backup & Power Conditioner) you can purchase from a local Office Max for -. They weigh quite a bit as they have a large backup battery so I don not ship them with a system. However, not using a UPS will void the 6 month warranty. Because these systems are older units, A UPS is necessary and will help your system last many years.
Since these are used/reconditioned systems they may have minor dings, etc. but all the interiors and working parts are in excellent shape. We also supply an emergency key that we will tape to the back of the drawer. You will need it to open the drawer in event of power outages or system failure. I would just keep it taped to the back of the drawer and not let anyone know it is there. Most of the time, since these systems rarely fail, the emergency key is put away somewhere and forgotten about. Then, when it is needed, it can not be found and a locksmith has to be called which is very expensive or the drawer has to be broken into which is even more expensive.
This system does not come with a printer because dot matrix printers are no longer available and the drivers are difficult to find. Reports do run on the screen and important information such as - Keys Out - is available instantly, whenever you want instantly. Since it is quickly run, that report can be run several times a day so you can keep close watch on who has your keys.
Since it is a used system I only guarantee it for 6 months but you do not have to pay support after that as you would with a new system from KeyTrak or most other key control companies. I do provide lifetime technical support. All you need to do is call and most of the time I can diagnose the issue over the phone and you will be able to repair it yourself. If something happens to the system and you need to send it back to me, I can repair it. I rarely get them back for repair. I provide phone support for free and if you need to send it back to me, I can repair it at my facility here for whatever the actual parts and labor cost. In most cases, if you decide to trade the system in for a new one from KeyTrak at a later date, you would recover most if not all of your cost.
