    Description

    This is a beautiful & special teapot and tea cups set made in a small village in Chine. This set is Yixing Zhuni "Dahongpao" Purple Cla. Purple clay is a high quality clay because of its fine texture and porous nature - which makes it easy to mold. Popular during the Ming Dynasty this clay is now non-existent. Making sets like these highly valuable. Zhuni is a "cinnabar" version of this purple clay. Zisha teapots retain the tea's flavor - they also retain heat and keep the tea warm longer. This teapot and matching tea cups may soon decome a thing of the past. This set would make an excellent gift for the tea lover or an addition to an existing teapot collection. Excellent condition, this set has no chips or cracks. Approximate sizes:
