    Description

    I have for sale a winners award medal from the United Hospitals Athletic Club, London, England for the 1938 High Jump competition.  The United Hospitals Athletic Club was formed on May 31, 1867 & for a long time hosted the annual United Hospital Athletics competition.  (track & field)  The medal is silver, it is 1 3/4 inch in diameter and its in a high grade circulated condition and it has been cleaned.  The obverse in the center shows a Greek god, possibly Mercury, holding a caduceus.  At the rim on a ribbon it reads UNITED HOSPITALS ATHLETIC CLUB.  On the reverse inside a wreath it is engraved HIGH JUMP - 1938 - WINNER.  This club no longer exist.  The medal comes in original case that is in a high grade condition with no damage.  Inside the case it reads THE ALEXANDER CLARK COMPANY - MEDALLISTS, - LONDON & BIRMINGHAM.  Please see more in my EBAY STORE at TECOLLECTABLES.  (17,339)
