    Louie Osmundson, the Chief in 1987, task the art class at Northland in Thief River MN to come up with the police patch that would represent the city on its 100th birthday. Three drawings were returned to the city. This is the one the city council selected and $ 100.00 dollars was awarded to the artist. The door shield on the squad was a rendering of the patch with a lighter blue do to its reflective properties.
