    Description

This is a nice and authentic bronze assarion of the Emperor Antoninus Pius (138-161), whose somewhat worn image is compensated by the decent image of Apollo on the reverse and was produced at the provincial mint of Philippopolis (Thrace). The coin is protected in an acid-free coin flip with an acid-free info card that lists the following in Greek:
AVT ADRIA ANTONEINOS (emperor on obverse)
    PHILIPPOPOLEITON (Apollo on reverse)
