    Description

NGC-certified and difficult to find in any grade. Solid example of this coin from Gerasa (now
the Jordanian city of Jerash) in Decapolis.  The Decapolis was a group of ten cities on the eastern
frontier of the Roman Empire in the first centuries BC and AD. Each city functioned as an autonomous
city-state dependent on Rome. Jerash today is home to one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman
cities and is nicknamed "the Pompeii of the East".
Obverse with draped bust of Faustina the Younger facing right. Reverse with draped bust of Artemis
facing right with quiver at shoulder. Please see photos. Low starting bid and FREE SHIPPING.
