This is NOT a time-limited edition. It will work forever on Macs that can support it.
Data Desk is a software program for visual data analysis, visual data exploration, and statistics. It carries out Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and standard statistical analyses by means of dynamically linked graphic data displays that update any change simultaneously. Data Desk was developed in 1985 by Paul F. Velleman, a statistics professor at Cornell University who had studied exploratory data analysis with John Tukey. Data Desk was released in 1986 for the Macintosh. It provided most standard statistical methods accessed through its own desktop interface. Macworld reviewed Data Desk in October 1997, and gave it 9.1 out of 10, and a 5 star rating.
DISK TRANSFER SERVICE: (OPTIONAL)
If you are the winner of the auction and would like the software also on a 1.4 MB disk (so as to allow this software to run on a slightly newer Mac such as a 1998 iMac that may not be able to read 400K/800K disks), I am offering a disk transfer service to transfer this software to a 1.44 MB Floppy so your newer computer can read the media. I make no guarantees that that the software will work perfectly on a Mac too new for its design, but will give you the option to try it. The cost of this transfer service is .00 per 1.4 MB floppy disk used. This is an optional fee and you will get both formats: the original low density disks that came as new plus the 1.4 MB copy.
