Description
For sale from my personal collection, this handsome little herd is the Breyer Stablemate 2002 QVC Silvercup Collection, five of the most popular Stablemate molds in GLOSSY. There were two releases of this collection; this is the FIRST SERIES. The horses are: G2 Warmblood in a lovely shaded bay, G1 Quarter Horse Stallion in a striking bay overo, G2 American Saddlebred in a softly shaded dapple grey, G2 Rearing Arabian in a bright, rich chestnut, and G1 Drafter in a beautiful smokey charcoal.I went over these little ones carefully, and could find no damage on them. They have been carefully kept in their form-fitted foam slots in the original box since I got them. There are a few with some minor factory gloss flaws, as is common with Breyer glossy finishes. The "worst" flaw I could find is a fleck of lint in the gloss on the left side of the Warmblood's barrel, that looks like a white dot if the light catches it right (and that didn't show up in his photo).
Overall, I was pleased all over again with how nice they are, the detail and quality of their paint jobs, and reminded (again) why I have been so reluctant to let them go.
The ASB Mare in particular is SUPER nice, the Arabian also, and...well, I could go on, but suffice it to say, this is a lovely little herd! I tried to take the best pics I could, but their high gloss finishes keep the photos from doing them full justice. I REALLY hate to finally let them go, but I don't typically collect or show glossies, and if they stay on with me, they are liable to continue to "live" in their box.
They will come with their original box and Certificate of Authenticity. The box itself is in very good but not mint condition: the foam inserts are all in great condition, and box edges are not worn, but it does have a streak on the front I was unable to buff out, and I didn't want to scrub it too hard for fear of doing more harm than good.
These beautiful models need to be out on display, or in the show ring (yes, most if not all, are at least PSQ, and one or two I wouldn't hesitate to live show), and will be a terrific addition to any model horse enthusiast's collection or show string. These beautiful horses have been meticulously kept in a non-smoking home, and is ready to grace your shelves. I am ferociously picky and my standards are high, but those of others may vary, so please ask any questions before you bid! Everyone has their own opinion, and what might drive me completely nuts might be inconsequential to someone else (or vice versa, though honestly the latter hasn't happened yet). I try to provide very, very detailed descriptions, and I am happy to answer any inquiries. Sale of these models is final, so I want to make sure the new owner is as pleased with them as I have been.
I am embarking on a downsizing of a model horse collection spanning 40+ years. As I don't want the reverse process to take as long, I am offering models, mainly discontinued and SR/Ltd. Ed. OFs, many at reduced starting or BIN prices. I tend to list only a few models at a time, so I can give each transaction as much attention to detail as possible. If you are looking for something specific, check back here as you search - I just may have it listed!
Actual estimated delivery date (not eBays) includes three business days to pack and ship the item, and depends on auction end date, shipping service, and receipt of cleared payment. PLEASE NOTE: Winner must acknowledge within THREE business days of auction close or I will open an Unpaid Item case with eBay in order to be able to relist the item. This does NOT mean you have to PAY within three business days! Just let me know you are aware you've won the item and what you intend to do about it. ;-) I am happy to work with buyers on payment(s). Unfortunately, I've had to tighten up my policy to avoid having unpaid items tied up for weeks when winning buyers simply disappear.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT INSURANCE:

USPS Priority automatically insures packages only up to .
Insurance over that amount is EXTRA and is the buyer's responsibility. If you are the winning bidder on an item over , please let me know ASAP if you would like additional insurance. Otherwise I will assume the buyer does not require insurance, and I will ship the item without it. I can NOT be responsible for damage or loss of items not insured for full purchase price. I am happy to add it, and will let you know how much it will cost. It's typically less than , depending on the value of the item.
Thank you to all the bidders, returning and new, for giving happy new homes to models I have loved and enjoyed.
