    Description

    Beautiful hand-painted Chinese export Rose Medallion "Famille Rose" porcelain  6" saucer plate from the mid 19th century
    c. 1850 - 1889.
    The design is hand painted in a riach enamel with alternating panels of Mandarin figures and a floral motif with gold le
    af and fine details.  This plate is unmarked which is an indication of its age. In the United States the Mckinley Tariff Act that was passed in 1890 requiring all Chinese Export porcelain had to be marked China.  Then in 1915 porcelain had to be marked Made in China.
