A fine, large, coin silver, 19th Century, American school prize medal with hand engraved text.
"Gardner Institute" on one side and "Deportment Scholarship" in fancy script, surrounded by laurel wreaths on the other.
Has a suspension hole at 12 o'clock.
Judging from the wear and patina, probably carried around for a long time.
A fine American school medal.
