The buoyant AquaLink Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) broadcasts a unique registered distress signal that not only tells rescuers where you are, but who you are, and then lets them "home in" on your location with its built-in, super bright LED strobe light that increases visibility.
Though it’s incredibly accurate, and 100 meters is a pretty impressive zeroing in of your location, rescuers still need to spot you—especially if it’s dark or your location is socked in with dense fog. That’s where the AquaLink PLB helps guide rescue crews straight to you. Its homing signal and integrated continuous flash LED strobe light mark your exact location.
Performing a full functional self-test of the PLB's internal circuitry, battery voltage and power and 406 MHz transmission gives you the peace of mind knowing your PLB will work the moment you need it the most. Built-in GPS acquisition test mode allows you to test GPS functionality up to 12 times over the life of the battery.
