Description
75-Ohm TV/VCR Signal Overload AttenuatorWith DC Pass Through
Improves poor picture quality caused by an overly strong signal.
Female F-Type connector jack to Female F-Type connector jack.
6dB attenuation.
The RadioShack TV/VCR Signal Overload Attenuator will reduce or eliminate problems in your TV reception caused by excessively strong signals, interference from a weaker station on the same frequency or multipath interference from a single station.
For example, if you are using an amplifier to help pull in a weak or distant station, the signals from a strong nearby station might be overamplified, or, in metropolitan areas a reflection of a strong signal might cause interference. These problems might appear as "ghosting", "double exposures", or a 'washout' of the color.
When using an A/B switch or video selector, connect the attenuator between the problem source and the switch or selector input. Do not connect the attenuator between the switch or the video selector and the TV or VCR. Install the attenuator at the 75-ohm VHF coax F-type connector on the back of your TV or VCR, using a short piece of coaxial cable. Use only the length of cable necessary for the connections.
