    PASCUAL PEREZ NO-HITTER
    Well, sort of…on September 24, 1988, Pascual Perez throws the first no-hitter in Veterans Stadium. However, it was a rain shortened game, called after 5 innings with Montreal leading 1-0. Alex Madrid was throwing a gem himself, having only allowed 4 hits through 5 1/3, but allowed 1 run. Of course, the rule changed in 1991 that a pitcher had to throw 9 innings to get credit for a no hitter, including games retroactively. Sorry Pascal!
    Interestingly enough, the original owner got Bryn Smith to autograph both tickets. It’s a wonder if he (or she) tried to get Perez to sign.
