I am listing about 50 different Sterling Silver Heraldic Art Medals this week in separate auctions all ending on the same night. Each Commemorative Medallion comes with the original 2” x 2” outer paper envelope and small plastic bag. Medals all appear to be uncirculated, and a few have some toning from age and storage, but some of the reflections on the scans make some of the coins looked toned, when they are not. I did not see any evidence that these were ever handled, and I was careful not to touch them when temporarily taking them out for scanning. I will combine shipping on multiple wins. My descriptions are based on information on the outer envelopes and info I have found on the Internet.
Heraldic Art Company of Cleveland, Ohio owned by Robert T. “Bob” McNamara who designed and sculpted almost all the company's medals produced an extended series of sterling silver .925 fine commemorative medals between 1959 and 1978. The medals were the same diameter of the US half dollar but were slightly thicker and have been referred to as “So Called Half Dollars”. Most of the envelopes have Roman Numerals for identification, but some do not.
