Description
1933 Century of Progress Exposition Official Medal 2 1/4" (57 mm) Bronze ZettlerOfficial Medal struck for the 1933 - 1934 Century of Progress International Exposition, held in Chicago, IL. Struck in bronze, it is 2 1/4" (57 mm) in diameter.
This Official Medal medal was struck in three sizes, this one being the middle size of the ones offered.
The obverse, done in the Art Deco Style of the period, is a nude man with a loin cloth, positioned between the pillars of Research and Industry.
The reverse is a birds-eye view of the fairgrounds, with a compass arrow pointing North.
It has some minor blemishes.
