Nice old early Victorian early brass medalet / token issued by W Griffin of Change Alley in Cornhill London commemorating the opening of the Thames Tunnel and its architect I.M. Brunel.
William Griffin was a die sinker and jeweler who produced a number of medals / medalets / tokens during this era.
Sized about 24mm & 5.4g.
