Description
This is a 1788 – 1938
“Sesquicentennial of the New Hampshire Constitution”
Commemorative Medal featuring one of its most famous native sons, Daniel Webster.
Daniel Webster was a lawyer and statesman who represented New Hampshire and then Massachusetts in the United States Congress and served as the Secretary of State under three Presidents, William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, and Millard Fillmore.
This medal also shows a very strange and unusual error on the reverse, see below.

The medal appears to have been struck twice. The legends and devices are doubled. The really strange aspect is that the outlines of the under-type letters and numbers are continued on the struck-up letters and numbers.
The Medal:
A nice example of what it is, it has been well cared for over the years. The reverse rim defect is as made, not after mint damage. The somewhat spectacular double/over strike error is unique in my experience, and adds interest. As grading is subjective, please see the pictures and judge for yourself.
