Some half dollar coins will be between 2002- 2020 as they are NIFC (Not Intended for Circulation). NIFC coins must be purchased from the mint; then, over time some get put into circulation. Occasionally silver half dollar coins can be found dating from 1964 to 1969 (1970 also contains silver & were only released in mint sets- we've never found one in circulation). Keep an eye out for "Proof" coins denoting an "S" Mint Mark and various error & variety coins. Happy Hunting!
